t was reported by the CNN that the FBI this past year took advantage of a dossier of allegations of Russian connections to Donald Trump’s campaign as a segment of the reason to get a green light to secretly surveillance a Trump associate, as stated by US officials informed of the investigation.
This dossier has also been used by FBI Director James Comey in parts of his briefings to Congressmen in these past weeks, as one of the derivatives of information the bureau has used to level up its investigation, as stated by US officials informed about it.
This incorporates a green light from the secret court that has a jurisdiction over the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to oversee the correspondence of Carter Page, two of the officials stated.
This previous year, Page was acknowledged by the Trump campaign as an adviser on national security. As it got reported by the Washington Post, the warrant to put Page under surveillance was obtained in the summer of 2016 which implies that the FBI had the now well known dossier for quite some time prior to President Obama supposedly getting his first briefing on the content in December 2016.
Naturally, as it got reported back in January, the dossier, gathered by former British intelligence official Chris Steele, was basically right away labeled as nonsense by the public after several evident mistakes were rapidly spotted and overly ambitious stories of ‘golden showers’ and different sexual acts were also discredited as utter nonsense.
It was alleged that the dossier was even reachable to the Clinton campaign in the case of them deciding to use it to undermine Trump, however even they were rapidly assured that no one would believe it.
Cumulatively this brings us to the question about the amount of idiocy and/or unmistakable corruption that must have been incorporated in this quest giving the fact the amount of people whose approval was needed to authorize the issuance of a FISA warrant that opened up the way for Comey and the Obama administration to latently put the Trump campaign under surveillance.
